Our Projects

We have five pending projects that we need your help to bring into fruition. Please consider making a gift to our College!

Scholarships

This semester, John Paul the Great students have received over $45,000BZD in scholarships. There are a variety of scholarships available, with different requirements. We try to fit the requirements to the student, aiming for the most growth for each student. These requirements include regular campus maintenance, community service around town, Bible studies, and Mass attendance. Please consider supporting these students on their journey!

Furniture

With new classrooms opening up and more students in them, we also need more tables and chairs. Currently, students often take chairs from other classrooms in order to sit down in class! We hope to purchase new chairs for the classrooms, as well as tables and seating areas around campus to better support community life.

Building Projects

In May 2024, we were able to hold our Graduation Mass in the new chapel for the first time! This chapel is part of a larger building that now includes a library, teachers' office, and classrooms. These are in daily use this year! The unfinished part of the building includes the bathrooms and kitchenette space. Right now, we have no sink big enough to easily wash our dishes after events. To run water to this building, we will put in a new water tank as well. Begun in April 2021, this project is almost finished!

Campus Ministry

John Paul the Great students are invited to go on mission themselves every year, serving those less fortunate. These trips open up new worlds for students and give them a taste of sacrificial Christ-like service. Last year, students wore themselves out digging a latrine for a church in Southern Belize. This year, they hope to put on a retreat for the children of Colon, Mexico, at another SOLT mission. We pray that your gift will bear fruit in a generation as magnanimous as yourself!

Operational

While JPG students and teachers dream big about the future, the daily life on campus goes on. The teachers' van, which saves the teachers a mile walk to school needs yearly checkups to keep them safe. The scholarship students who maintain the beautiful grounds and keep the classrooms clean need supplies. Water, when there's pressure to get it up the hill, needs to be paid for. If you like hidden generosity, this is an opportunity for you!
